ACSM allows 25 to 50 sq ft per station on the fitness floor, and ADA requires at least one of each TYPE of exercise machine to have a 30 by 48 in clear floor space served by an accessible route — 36 by 48 in where that space is enclosed on three sides. Drawn to scale, those two figures usually settle the realistic piece count before budget enters the conversation.
Power, planned with the layout
Electrical is the item most often missed on a conversion, because the room was not wired for it. Commercial treadmill manufacturers specify a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit per treadmill with a non-looped neutral and ground — eight treadmills is eight circuits and a panel schedule that has to accommodate them. Settling that during design is what lets a cardio bank sit where the sight lines want it rather than where the existing outlets happen to be.
What happens after the room opens
Equipment on a busy floor is a maintained asset, not a purchase. Preventive maintenance scheduled against hours of use rather than the calendar catches the wear that ends in a failed frame, and an asset register is what makes a repair quotable without a site visit to find out what is in the room. Parts are not stocked in this industry, so a first visit identifies the exact part rather than finishing the repair — being straight about that is more useful than a response-time claim.

Who warrants the equipment — you or the manufacturer?
The manufacturer. New equipment carries the manufacturer’s own limited warranty, which we pass through to you, and the manufacturer’s published warranty controls over any summary shown on a proposal. What Fit Supply warrants directly is its own installation workmanship, for one year from completion. Used equipment is warranted only to the extent of its condition tier. Extended coverage may be available for purchase on some new and used products, and applies only if it is stated on your quote or in a separate warranty document.
What makes a Fit Supply layout different from a floor plan?
Our sales representatives are specialists in fitness facility design, not order takers, and a layout accounts for the things that make a room work or fail: safety and circulation, ADA access and clearances, electrical requirements and outlet placement, spacing between machines, and connectivity for networked equipment. A drawing that ignores power and ADA is a picture, not a plan.
