Commercial Fitness Facilities We Have Equipped in New Jersey
New Jersey is served from our Texas and Arizona locations as part of nationwide coverage. The scope does not change with the state line — layout and design, equipment procurement, flooring, delivery and installation, and support once the room is open — though coverage is confirmed per project, because some equipment lines carry territory arrangements.

How a project runs at distance
-
The room is drawn before it is quoted
A layout to scale comes first, with ADA clearances, floor loading and power planned into it. Most of the work here is in home and individual customers, and the equipment list follows from the room rather than the other way round.
-
One order, several manufacturers
Cardio, strength, flooring and accessories rarely come from one brand. We consolidate them into a single order and a single delivery date, so the room lands together.
-
Managed installation, wherever it is
Equipment is assembled, placed to the approved layout and function-tested on site by crews we manage or installers we work with — never a bare freight drop-off.

The facilities we equip in New Jersey
Home and private training rooms
The question that decides a home installation is not whether the machine fits the room — it is whether it fits the hallway, the stair turn and the landing on the way there. We survey that route rather than assume it. The commercial benchmarks are a useful yardstick: ADA sets a 32 in minimum clear door opening measured between the face of the door and the stop with the door open 90 degrees, and 36 in where the opening is deeper than 24 in, and most interior doors and turns at home are tighter. Some machines come apart for the trip and some do not; the ones that do not decide the route, and occasionally the piece. More on equipping home and private training rooms.
The rest of what we equip there
Those two are what New Jersey orders most, not the limit of what we supply there. The same design, flooring, delivery and installation work covers every other facility type:
- student housing gyms
- HOA and property-managed gyms
- corporate fitness centers
- health clubs and training studios
- hotel and resort fitness rooms
- senior living fitness rooms
- medical and rehab training rooms
- schools and campus recreation
- fire, police and municipal gyms
- correctional facility fitness rooms
- YMCA and nonprofit gyms
- apartment and condominium gyms
What decides the room before the equipment list

What the floor has to carry
The structural question comes first on any conversion. IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for a 100 psf live load, against 40 psf for residential areas outside sleeping rooms and 30 psf for sleeping areas, and live loads over 100 psf may not be reduced. A room carved out of existing space is a change of use against that table — a question for the structural engineer rather than something to discover on delivery day.

Circulation, and the space nobody budgets for
Rooms fail on circulation far more often than on equipment selection. ADA sets a 60 in diameter circular turning space and a 36 in minimum clear width on the accessible route, and in a room of 400 to 600 sq ft those two dimensions decide how many machines can face which way. Reserving them on the drawing costs nothing; recovering them after delivery usually means sending a piece back.

What happens after the room opens
Equipment on a busy floor is a maintained asset, not a purchase. Preventive maintenance scheduled against hours of use rather than the calendar catches the wear that ends in a failed frame, and an asset register is what makes a repair quotable without a site visit to find out what is in the room. Parts are not stocked in this industry, so a first visit identifies the exact part rather than finishing the repair — being straight about that is more useful than a response-time claim.
In short
We take commercial fitness projects in New Jersey as part of nationwide coverage, run out of our Texas and Arizona locations. Work there runs to home and individual customers. A 60 inch turning circle is reserved wherever circulation is tight, so a compliant room does not lose stations to a late correction.
Common questions about New Jersey projects
Does Fit Supply work in New Jersey?
Fit Supply works nationwide, and New Jersey is served from our Texas and Arizona locations. Coverage is confirmed per project because some equipment lines carry territory arrangements, so the first step is telling us the property and the facility type. The scope does not change with the state line.
What if the equipment will not fit through the door?
That is what the site survey is for. We check door openings, stair turns and landing space against the pieces being delivered before anything is ordered. For reference, commercial construction treats 32 in as a minimum clear door opening — measured with the door open 90 degrees, so a nominal 3 ft leaf gives less than its name suggests. Some machines break down for the trip and some do not.
What does your installation include?
It starts with a site survey — we collect the measurements, access details and photographs before anything is quoted, so the install is priced against your actual building. Fit Supply installs essentially anywhere, including situations needing a crane or the temporary removal of railings, and that work is priced into the install rather than surfacing as a surprise. We also handle relocations, extractions, assembly and upholstery, and can provide storage for a fee.
What do I need to have ready before installation day?
A confirmed date, access, and a room that is actually finished. You are responsible for site readiness: adequate space, the flooring down, structural capacity for the equipment, and electrical service matching the proposal — as an example, 110V treadmills each need a dedicated 100–125VAC, 50/60Hz, 20A circuit on a NEMA 5-20R outlet, independently isolated. Electrical is the item most often discovered late and the most expensive to fix after the walls are closed, so it is worth confirming with your electrician against our equipment list well before the delivery date.
How long does a gym design take?
Usually one to two weeks, delivered together with an equipment quote. You are not given a single take-it-or-leave-it option: we work through the space with you and typically present two to three quotes at different price tiers, with equipment choices at each, so you can see the trade-offs rather than just a total.
