SciFit Recumbent Steppers and Ergometers

SciFit's whole current line, in SciFit's own two groups: total body and upper body.

The StepOne, PRO2, PRO1 and PRO1000, With the Figures a Room Is Drawn From

SciFit builds accessible machines that start at a very low resistance, take a wheelchair and run on their own power, which is why they turn up in therapy gyms, cardiac rehab rooms and senior living fitness centers.

SciFit's line is short and specific. The StepOne is a seated stepper with a stride the user sets and a 6-watt starting load. The PRO2 is an arm ergometer and a recumbent bike in one frame, with linked cranks. The PRO1 is an arm ergometer used seated, standing or from a wheelchair, and the PRO1000 is its seated counterpart. All four offer 191 resistance levels, take a premium or a standard seat, and generate their own power, with an AC adapter included to keep the console lit.

Fit Supply has installed SciFit in finished rooms, among them a PRO2 and a StepOne in a McKinney, Texas senior living fitness center. Which machine suits a room depends on who uses it, the budget and the space, not on a house preference. See how a clinic gym is planned on the medical and rehab facilities page and its physical therapy and cardiac and pulmonary rehab pages, and the full range of manufacturers Fit Supply carries on the procurement page.

SciFit questions

Is SciFit the brand Fit Supply carries the most?

Fit Supply carries more than 50 commercial equipment manufacturers rather than any single house line, and SciFit is a current partner among them, specified for its recumbent stepper, total body trainer and upper body ergometers. The mix on any project is matched to what the room, the budget and the users need, so no manufacturer is favored over another.

What is the difference between the premium and standard SciFit seats?

Adjustment and capacity. The premium seat swivels 360° and locks every 90°, adjusts for height and reclines through 23°, and is rated for users up to 450 lb. The standard seat adjusts forward and back only, from pedals staff can reach on any side, and is rated for 500 lb. On every model the seat comes off for wheelchair access.

What has to be planned before SciFit equipment goes into a room?

Floor space and ceiling height more than power. All four machines generate their own power, with a low-voltage adapter that keeps the console lit. The PRO1 stands 77 inches tall, and the StepOne takes a 68 by 30 inch footprint, before the clear floor space a wheelchair transfer needs beside it. Each product page lists SciFit's published dimensions.

Can Fit Supply supply SciFit equipment outside Texas and Arizona?

Yes. Fit Supply supplies, designs around and installs SciFit equipment in all 50 states, from its locations in Texas and Arizona. The one regional limit is on-site service and preventive maintenance by Fit Supply's own technicians, which covers Texas and Arizona.

Is SciFit equipment available pre-owned?

Often. SciFit recumbent trainers are among the units most often available pre-owned, which is worth asking about when a clinic or community is equipping on a budget. See used gym equipment for how pre-owned machines are rebuilt and sold, and every quote lists each piece as new or pre-owned.
