From Layout to Installation in Waco
Fit Supply designs, supplies and installs commercial fitness facilities in Waco. We have equipped rooms across the Central Texas area and work in Waco regularly, handling everything from a single amenity gym to a multi-property rollout.
In Waco our projects concentrate in apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms, corporate wellness centers. Each carries its own constraints around supervision, liability and traffic, and the equipment package follows from those rather than from a catalog.
Installation in Waco is done by installers we manage rather than a bare freight delivery. Equipment is delivered, assembled, positioned to the plan and function-tested before we leave, and the packaging goes with us — the same crews that cover Hewitt.
Waco is one of several Central Texas markets we cover, together with Hewitt, Woodway and Bellmead. Multi-site owners get the same specification applied across the group, which keeps budgeting predictable and replacement parts interchangeable.
A Waco project can start at any point — a full apartment and condominium communitie build from an empty room, a partial refresh of failing cardio, or just the flooring. We also arrange finance, extended warranties and a preventive maintenance plan so the room keeps working after handover.

Working in Waco
Most of our work in Waco is apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms and corporate wellness centers.
What we equip in Waco
The three categories below are the ones Waco works in most, ranked by the volume we have actually supplied there. They are not variations on one specification — the room decides the equipment, which is why we draw it before quoting it.
Apartment and condominium amenity rooms
Electrical is the item that most often turns a finished amenity room into a second construction project, because the space was never wired for it. Commercial treadmills need a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit each, with a non-looped neutral and ground — three treadmills is three circuits, not one shared run. Doors are the companion trap: ADA sets a 32 in minimum clear opening measured with the door open 90 degrees, and a nominal 3 ft leaf does not deliver it once the stop and hardware are counted. Both are cheap to solve while the walls are open and disruptive afterwards, so we raise them during design. More on apartment gym equipment and design.
Health clubs and training studios
A cardio bank ends up facing the wrong way for one reason more than any other: it was placed where the outlets already were. Commercial treadmills each need a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit with a non-looped neutral and ground, so a row of eight is eight circuits and a panel schedule built to carry them. Settle that with the layout and the equipment goes where the sight lines and the windows want it. Settle it afterwards and the room is planned by the electrician. Corporate fitness centers
A corporate room is judged by employees at 7am, at lunch and at 5pm, and by nobody at all in between — so the only usage number that matters is the peak. ACSM allows 25 to 50 sq ft per station, which sets the honest piece count for the space you have. On a fixed budget, duplicating the two or three pieces that actually queue does more for how the benefit is perceived than adding another category nobody asked for. In short
Most of our Waco work is in apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms. Fit Supply equips commercial fitness rooms in Waco, TX and throughout the Central Texas area, including Hewitt, Woodway and Bellmead. Free-weight zones are planned at the top of the 25 to 50 sq ft per station range once bar path, bench pull-out and spotter access are counted.
Common questions about Waco projects
Does an unstaffed resident gym change what you specify?
Considerably. With nobody present to spot or intervene, we favor equipment that is safe to use alone and hard to misuse, and we keep the ADA clearances genuinely clear — a 30 by 48 in space for at least one of each machine type, reached by a 36 in accessible route. In a staffed club an obstruction gets moved; in an unstaffed room it stays there.
How do we make the floor work for beginners and athletes together?
By specifying part of it deliberately for inclusive use rather than assuming one range of equipment serves everyone. ASTM F3021 is the standard specification for universal design of fitness equipment for inclusive use by people with functional limitations and impairments, and it is the reference for those selections. Layout does the rest, by separating the zones that need different pacing.
What accessibility requirements apply to a workplace gym?
The same scoping as other fitness spaces: at least one of each TYPE of exercise machine needs a 30 by 48 in clear floor space on an accessible route, or 36 by 48 in where enclosed on three sides. Doors need a 32 in minimum clear opening measured with the door open 90 degrees, and 36 in where the opening is deeper than 24 in.
Does a Texas fitness build need an accessibility review?
If the estimated construction cost is $50,000 or more, yes. Under Texas Government Code chapter 469, the project is registered with TDLR and reviewed by a Registered Accessibility Specialist, with registration due within 30 days of permit submission, and the same RAS performs the final inspection. It is worth confirming early, because it sits on the permit timeline rather than beside it.
Do you cover properties near Waco?
Yes. Waco sits inside our coverage in Central Texas, and the same crews work Hewitt, Woodway and Bellmead. Where a portfolio spans several of those markets, it is one specification and one point of contact instead of renegotiating each site separately.
