Design, Equipment and Installation for Southlake Facilities

Southlake sits inside the Dallas–Fort Worth market Fit Supply serves most closely. We plan, supply and install commercial fitness spaces here — layout and equipment selection through flooring, delivery, installation and the service plan afterward.

Southlake projects have centered on health clubs and gyms, home and individual customers, corporate wellness centers. We specify to the facility type rather than applying one package everywhere, because the demands genuinely differ between them.

Because we run installation crews in the Dallas–Fort Worth area rather than booking freight, a Southlake project gets delivered, assembled and placed to plan in one visit. Old equipment can go out on the same trip when a room is being replaced.

Southlake sits alongside Grapevine, Keller and Colleyville in our Dallas–Fort Worth coverage, and a group of properties across those can run on a single equipment package and a single parts pipeline.

Everything a Southlake facility needs runs through one supplier: design and layout, equipment procurement, flooring, installation, finance and extended warranty options, ongoing preventive maintenance, and appraisal or buyback of whatever is being replaced.

Working in Southlake

Most of our work in Southlake is health clubs and gyms, home and individual customers and corporate wellness centers.

What we equip in Southlake

The three categories below are the ones Southlake works in most, ranked by the volume we have actually supplied there. Each asks something different of the floor, the power and the clearances, so each is planned from the room outward.

Health clubs and training studios

Studio rooms get designed for their class capacity and their doorway gets designed last, which is why the access dimensions are where a club renovation most often fails inspection. ADA sets a 32 in minimum clear door opening, measured between the face of the door and the stop with the door open 90 degrees, rising to 36 in where the opening is deeper than 24 in, plus a 60 in diameter turning space inside. The detail that catches people: a nominal 3 ft leaf does not yield 36 in. Cheap to fix on a plan, expensive once the wall is built. More on equipping health clubs and training studios.

Home and private training rooms

A treadmill that trips the breaker every few weeks is a wiring problem, not a faulty machine, and it is entirely avoidable at planning. Commercial treadmills call for a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit with a non-looped neutral and ground; sharing that run with a chest freezer or a window unit is what turns it into a recurring nuisance. Ceiling height is the other check worth doing early — overhead pressing and any machine with a traveling arm need more clearance than a standard finished basement gives you, and that is better known before the order than after. Corporate fitness centers

A corporate fitness center is nearly always carved out of space designed for something else, which makes the live load the first question rather than a late one. IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for 100 psf — a change of use against most existing office floor and a question for the building’s structural engineer. The answer decides whether the heavy strength equipment sits where the plan wants it or gets moved toward a column line, and finding out during fit-out is the expensive version. Service, Repairs and Preventive Maintenance in Southlake

Fit Supply provides equipment service, repairs, and preventive maintenance across Texas — delivered directly by Fit Supply or through our sister company, On Site Fitness Service. Southlake is in Fit Supply's home market, minutes from our Irving office.

Coverage in Southlake

Southlake is part of our service coverage in Dallas–Fort Worth, alongside Grapevine and Keller. We dispatch there for repairs, warranty work and preventive maintenance the same as anywhere else in the coverage area.

Preventive maintenance plans

Preventive maintenance is offered in three tiers — Silver, Gold and Platinum — see the full PM tier structure. Every repair and PM visit is quoted and approved before work begins.

Nearby cities we cover

Southlake sits alongside Grapevine, Keller and DeSoto in our Dallas–Fort Worth coverage — each has a page of its own.

In short

Most of our Southlake work is in health clubs and gyms, home and individual customers. Southlake fitness facility projects, handled end to end — layout and design, equipment, flooring, and delivery and installation managed end to end rather than a freight drop-off. We also cover Grapevine, Keller and Colleyville across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Free-weight zones are planned at the top of the 25 to 50 sq ft per station range once bar path, bench pull-out and spotter access are counted.

Common questions about Southlake projects

How is power planned for a bank of cardio equipment?

Per machine. Commercial treadmill manufacturers specify a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit each, with a non-looped neutral and ground, so eight treadmills is eight circuits. We put that on the layout during design so the cardio bank can sit where the room wants it instead of where the existing outlets are.

What flooring should a home gym have?

It depends where the weight lands. ASTM F2772 treats force reduction, vertical deformation, ball bounce and surface friction as measured properties, so a dropped-weight area and a cardio area want different build-ups. Specifying the drop zone separately is usually cheaper than taking the heaviest build across the whole room, and it is what keeps noise out of the rooms next door.

Can we put a fitness center in existing office space?

Usually, with the structural question answered first. IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for a 100 psf live load, so converting office space is a change of use and the building’s structural engineer confirms what the floor carries. That answer often shapes the layout, since it determines where the heaviest strength equipment can sit.

Does a Texas fitness build need an accessibility review?

If the estimated construction cost is $50,000 or more, yes. Under Texas Government Code chapter 469, the project is registered with TDLR and reviewed by a Registered Accessibility Specialist, with registration due within 30 days of permit submission, and the same RAS performs the final inspection. It is worth confirming early, because it sits on the permit timeline rather than beside it.

Do you cover properties near Southlake?

Yes. Southlake sits inside our coverage in Dallas–Fort Worth, and the same crews work Grapevine, Keller and Colleyville. Where a portfolio spans several of those markets, it is one specification and one point of contact instead of renegotiating each site separately.
