The expensive surprise in a home gym is almost never the equipment — it is the floor underneath it. Fitness areas are designed for 100 psf under IBC Table 1607.1, while residential areas outside sleeping rooms get 40 psf and sleeping areas 30 psf. A garage slab or a basement is rarely a problem. A bonus room over a garage carrying a full rack and a loaded plate tree is a question worth asking before the truck arrives, because the answer occasionally moves the room. Specifying the drop zone separately is usually cheaper than taking the heaviest build across the whole room, and it is what keeps noise out of the rooms next door.
What is a Registered Accessibility Specialist, and do we need one?
An RAS is the reviewer Texas requires on commercial projects with an estimated construction cost of $50,000 or more, under Texas Government Code chapter 469. The project is registered with TDLR within 30 days of permit submission, the RAS reviews the plans, and the same RAS carries out the final inspection. Below that threshold the requirement does not apply, though the ADA Standards still do.

It depends what it is. Custom and modified products cannot be cancelled, returned, rescheduled or refused, and they require full payment up front. Standard stock products can be returned only with our prior written authorization, in new and resalable condition in the original packaging, at your expense and risk, and are subject to a 25% restocking charge. After a proposal is executed, cancellation carries a 25% fee of the proposal total. This is why we would rather spend the extra day on the layout than have you order twice.
