From Layout to Installation in Peoria
Fit Supply covers Peoria as part of our Phoenix metro service area — facility layout, equipment procurement, flooring, delivery and installation for commercial fitness spaces.
Peoria facilities we equip run to apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms, fire stations. The room's use pattern drives the specification, not a standard package. See every type.
Phoenix-area rooms are dominated by apartment and HOA amenity spaces, and by outdoor and courtyard fitness areas that need equipment and surfacing rated for genuine desert heat and UV exposure. Equipment specified for a milder climate degrades fast here, particularly rubber surfaces and upholstery in west-facing rooms.
In Peoria we deliver and install with crews we manage. Machines are assembled, placed to the approved layout, leveled and checked on site — not dropped in a car park for someone else to sort out. For a commercial fitness room that means the room is usable the day we finish.
Peoria sits alongside Glendale, Surprise and Phoenix in our Phoenix metro coverage, and a group of properties across those can run on a single equipment package and a single parts pipeline.
A Peoria project can start at any point — a full commercial fitness room build from an empty room, a partial refresh of failing cardio, or just the flooring. We also arrange finance, extended warranties and a preventive maintenance plan so the room keeps working after handover.

Working in Peoria
Most of our work in Peoria is apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms and fire stations.
What we equip in Peoria
The three categories below are the ones Peoria works in most, ranked by the volume we have actually supplied there. Each is a different specification problem, which is why the equipment list comes after the room rather than before it.
Apartment and condominium amenity rooms
Electrical is the item that most often turns a finished amenity room into a second construction project, because the space was never wired for it. Commercial treadmills need a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit each, with a non-looped neutral and ground — three treadmills is three circuits, not one shared run. Doors are the companion trap: ADA sets a 32 in minimum clear opening measured with the door open 90 degrees, and a nominal 3 ft leaf does not deliver it once the stop and hardware are counted. Both are cheap to solve while the walls are open and disruptive afterwards, so we raise them during design. More on multifamily gym design and equipment.
Health clubs and training studios
Accessibility is easier to achieve than most operators expect and almost impossible to retrofit, which is the case for drawing the floor first. ADA asks for a 30 by 48 in clear floor space on at least one of each TYPE of machine, served by an accessible route — 36 by 48 in where that space is enclosed on three sides. The part that makes it workable on a dense floor is that the clear space may overlap the route and sit in the aisle behind the machine. Planned in, it costs nothing. Discovered later, it costs a piece of equipment. More on health club equipment and design.
Fire station fitness rooms
A station gym never closes, so light-commercial equipment rated for intermittent use fails early here and is replaced out of a budget that did not plan for it. Continuous-duty specification costs more once and less over the life of the room. The structure deserves the same early question: IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for 100 psf, and apparatus bays and upper-floor quarters were not necessarily framed with a loaded rack in mind. In short
Fit Supply equips commercial fitness rooms in Peoria, AZ and throughout the Phoenix metro area, including Glendale, Surprise and Phoenix. Most of our Peoria work is in apartment and condominium communities, health clubs and gyms. Fitness areas are designed for a 100 psf live load under IBC Table 1607.1, confirmed before anything is specified.
Common questions about Peoria projects
How do we choose equipment that suits every resident?
By treating inclusive use as a selection criterion. ASTM F3021 is the standard specification for universal design of fitness equipment for inclusive use by people with functional limitations and impairments, which covers the machines themselves — step-through access, grip points, seat height. The ADA clearances then govern the space around them. The two are separate jobs and both matter in a building housing every age.
How is power planned for a bank of cardio equipment?
Per machine. Commercial treadmill manufacturers specify a dedicated 120V, 20-amp branch circuit each, with a non-looped neutral and ground, so eight treadmills is eight circuits. We put that on the layout during design so the cardio bank can sit where the room wants it instead of where the existing outlets are.
What makes a fire station gym different to specify?
It runs around the clock. Every shift uses it, so there is no recovery window and no convenient downtime, which favors equipment rated for continuous duty over light-commercial. Placement matters as well — IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for a 100 psf live load, and quarters above an apparatus bay were not necessarily framed for a loaded rack.
Does every machine in an Arizona gym have to be accessible?
No — the ADA Standards are federal and apply here, but the scoping is per TYPE of machine, not per unit. At least one of each type needs a 30 by 48 in clear floor space on an accessible route, or 36 by 48 in where the space is enclosed on three sides, with the route itself at a 36 in minimum clear width. Planning it at layout stage is far cheaper than substituting equipment later.
Do you cover properties near Peoria?
Yes. Peoria sits inside our coverage in Phoenix metro, and the same crews work Glendale, Surprise and Phoenix. That matters most to owners with several properties in the area, who get a consistent specification across all of them rather than whatever each site was sold locally.
