Equipping Fitness Rooms Across Sahuarita
Fit Supply serves Sahuarita from our Chandler location, designing, supplying and installing commercial fitness facilities throughout the Tucson metro area.
Whatever the facility in Sahuarita — an apartment gym, a health club floor, a corporate wellness room, a fire station or a rehabilitation clinic — the specification starts from how the room is actually used. Every type we equip is listed here.
Tucson mixes a large university population with substantial retirement and active-adult communities, so the same market needs both hard-wearing student-grade training equipment and accessible, low-start-weight machines for older residents. Those are different specifications and we quote them as such.
Installation in Sahuarita is done by installers we manage rather than a bare freight delivery. Equipment is delivered, assembled, positioned to the plan and function-tested before we leave, and the packaging goes with us — the same crews that cover Green Valley.
We cover Green Valley and Tucson and the rest of the Tucson metro area on the same terms as Sahuarita itself, so a portfolio spread across several of these is handled as one project rather than several.
In Sahuarita we handle the whole project rather than one slice of it — consultation, layout design, procurement, flooring, delivery, installation, finance and warranties, then maintenance afterward. For commercial fitness rooms in particular, that continuity is what stops a room degrading a year after it opens.

Working in Sahuarita
We specify commercial cardio, strength and functional equipment around how the room is actually used.
Equipping a fitness room in Sahuarita
We cover Sahuarita from our Tucson metro coverage. The considerations below apply to any commercial fitness room, whichever facility type it serves, and they are the questions we work through before an equipment list is drawn up.
What the floor has to carry
The structural question comes first on any conversion. IBC Table 1607.1 designs fitness areas for a 100 psf live load, against 40 psf for residential areas outside sleeping rooms and 30 psf for sleeping areas, and live loads over 100 psf may not be reduced. A room being carved out of existing space is a change of use against that table, which is a question for the structural engineer rather than something to find out on delivery day. More on this.
Flooring is a measured property
Floor performance is specified by zone rather than chosen by appearance. ASTM F2772 is the standard specification for the athletic performance properties of indoor sports floor systems, covering force reduction, vertical deformation, ball bounce and surface friction as MEASURED values. A free-weight drop area, a turf lane and a studio are asking different things of the build-up, and one specification across all of them will underperform somewhere. More on this.

Common questions about Sahuarita projects
What accessibility rules apply to an Arizona fitness room?
The ADA Standards are federal and apply in Arizona as they do everywhere. The scoping most often missed is that at least one of each TYPE of exercise machine needs a 30 by 48 in clear floor space served by an accessible route, or 36 by 48 in where enclosed on three sides, with a 36 in minimum clear route width. We draw the layout against that before equipment is ordered.
Do you cover properties near Sahuarita?
Yes. Sahuarita sits inside our coverage in Tucson metro, and the same crews work Green Valley and Tucson. Where a portfolio spans several of those markets, it is one specification and one point of contact instead of renegotiating each site separately.
What warranty comes with the equipment?
Manufacturer warranties are passed through to you in full, and Fit Supply warrants its own installation work for 30 days. Warranty terms differ by manufacturer and by product line, so the specific coverage for what you are buying is set out in your quote rather than generalised here.
What are your payment terms?
Terms vary from deal to deal and are set out in your proposal. What does not vary: a 50% deposit is required on all orders before equipment is ordered. Finance options are available and are quoted alongside the equipment.
What if my space is not ready when the equipment arrives?
Tell us as early as you can and we will re-sequence rather than deliver into an unfinished room. Where product is held at your request more than ten days past the installation date, a storage fee applies; held beyond thirty days, a 10% restocking fee applies as well. Those are the contract terms, and they exist because held equipment occupies warehouse space and gets handled twice. A date moved a week ahead of time normally costs nothing; a truck turned away on the day does.
