The Recovery Training Room
The brief
A standalone physical therapy and recovery practice in Carefree, Arizona needed its own in-house training space — not a shared gym floor, and not a general fitness room borrowed from an apartment-amenity playbook. The brief was built around a genuinely different population than most of the rooms Fit Supply equips: patients working back from an injury or a surgery under a therapist’s program, rather than a resident choosing between a run and a lift on their own schedule.
A room built for rehab work, not an amenity checklist
The finished room pairs a FreeMotion Genesis Dual Cable Cross — dual independent weight stacks a therapist can dial to a controlled, adjustable resistance for a specific movement pattern — with an Inspire M2 multi-gym for guided, single-station exercises that do not require loading and unloading free weight between patients. Two Star Trac recumbent machines give genuinely low-impact cardio, seated and supported rather than weight-bearing. A full TKO dumbbell wall running 5 to 50 pounds, an adjustable TKO bench and a TKO plyo box round out the room for the free-weight and plyometric work a patient’s program adds as it progresses — the same equipment types a standard training room uses, specified here for graduated loading rather than open training.
Real equipment, matched to the population it serves
Nothing here comes from one house line.
